Twin city earlier known as hub for drugs now turns to crime city

Since past few years twin city Ambala known as an hub for smuggling and sale of drugs now turning to a crime city. If we look at past couple of days twin city Ambala has witnessed large number of crimes of these few prominent include recovery of drugs, police raid at a Spa centre running flesh trade, recovery of mobile phones and its accessories from prisoners inside Ambala central jail, snatching cases, rivalry attacks, recovery of bodies, large number of thefts, road mishaps claimed several lives, recovery of children from a beggar and many more having a long list.

Jashandeep Singh Randhawa SP Ambala while talking to media persons told that CIA Staff Ambala police on a clue arrested  a youth identified as Tej Partap Singh alia Twinkle a resident of  Pooja Vihar carrying 310 gm heroine having international value worth Rs 1.25 crore. During preliminary investigation arrested youth admitted often bringing drugs from an African from Delhi and supplying in the area. Randhawa told that arrested youth was involved in several cases registered against him under NDPS Act in past and a case was also registered against him under sections 323, 498A, 406, 506 IPC at Mahesh Nagar police station Ambala Cantt, besides having  as many as five cases under NDPS Act presently registered against him.

Randhawa said that decision has been taken to attach entire properties of arrested accuse. He told media persons that during this year 130 persons have been arrested at Ambala in 106 cases registered under NDPS Act so far from them police recovered nearly 4.25 kg heroine,  11 kg opium, 3.11 quintal poppy husk, 8 kg ganja, 223 gm charas, 64669 intoxicated tablets, 9824 intoxicated capsules, 1950 intoxicated injections and 95 bottle intoxicated syrup.

On a clue Baldev Nagar police station Ambala City led by Joginder Sharma DSP raided a Spa centre at Baldev Nagar allegedly involved in flesh trade and arrested a woman and case was registered against her. Joginder Sharma told that a fake customer was sent to Spa center to finalize the deal and on a signal police team arrived at the spot. Police also recovered stocks of objectionable goods in Spa centre including drugs to increase sex power and save pregnancy. Earlier in May this year police had raided another Spa centre ‘Better Movement Ayurvedic Spa Centre’ functioning in the same building and arrested few couples lying in objectionable condition.

During investigation on a secret information that large number of mobile phones are lying with the prisoners in central jail remained on headlines in newspapers in past years due to prisoners having mobile phones and drugs inside the jail as well as frequent clashes between prisoners inside this jail in which 1550 prisoners including 54 women and two children are lodged at present against total capacity of 1228 prisoners at present, when newly transferred jail superintendent visited jail barracks along with security staff during search campaign inside the jail as many as 11 mobile phones, chargers, sim cards and headphones were recovered from prisoners. Not only this prisoners destroyed as many as 22 mobile phones either burning or breaking in pieces themselves to avoid arrests. On a secret information jail security staff has also recovered nine mobile phones packed in a box lying near the boundary wall inside the jail. Railway child team also rescued two lost children from a beggar at Ambala Cantt railway station and handed them over to their parents.
