Two accused of Sidhu Moosewala murder case killed in Jail

Amritsar, February 26 Two accused who were arrested in the murder case of famous Punjabi Singer  Sidhu Moosewala were killed in the Tarn Taran jail here today.

Talking to FW, SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said  the dead were identified as Mandeep Singh Toofan  son of Harbhjan Singh resident of Sundar Nagar Batala and another one was Manmohan Singh Mohna resident of Budlada. Both were killed when they indulged in physical brawl, flexed their muscles and within no time the situation took ugly turn when it was free for all. Heavy iron utensils and iron rods were used during scuffles inside the jail in the Tarn Taran district.

SSP said that during scuffle one jail inmate Keshav was also injured seriously and shifted to hospital outside jail. Keshav was also arrested in the Sidhu Mossewala murder case.

SSP said that all accused (gangsters) involved in the scuffle were arrested in the murder case of famous Punjab singer Sidhu Mosselwala.

However, Mohana was suspected of being the recce of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala during the Punjab Assembly elections.

Gangster Manmohan Singh Mohana, who happened to be close to Moosewala, was associated with the Akali Dal. He joined Congress during the Punjab assembly elections.

Punjabi singer, rapper and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29, 2022.

Around 20 rounds of bullets were reportedly fired at Sidhu Moose Wala who was in his car along with two others. Sidhu Moose Wala died on spot while the two others suffered bullet injuries and they have been rushed to hospital. Till now, the attackers of Sidhu Moose Wala have not been identified. Photos and videos of Sidhu Moose Wala’s shot dead in Punjab were widely shared on social media. Many photos showed bullet holes poked at the front glass windshield of Sidhu Moose Wala’s car.
