Two arrested with 3.10 kg opium in Ambala

Ambala : The CIA-1 of Ambala police arrested two men and during search recovered from them 3.10 kg opium along with Rs 80,000 money.They were identified as Amlesh Sahni and Ashok Sahni, both hailing from Bihar.

Pooja Dabla IPS ASP Ambala while talking to media persons said that the duo was nabbed with the contraband after a raid on Thursday and a case was registered at Sadar police station Ambala City under section 18 of NDPS Act.

Informatioin revealed that Ashok living in a rented accommodation at Ambala whereas  Amlesh used to bring drugs from Bihar and both  were selling drugs  locally as well as in surrounding area. Both will be produced in the court on Saturday for police remand when police will find out details about the supply of opium from where they were getting drugs as well as to whom they were supplying, Dabla told the media.

During preliminary investigation arrested  accused tolod that they were supplying drugs in the area since past five to six months and now thinking to leave this profession. Police time patrolling at Basti Lyalpur area found both standing at Jeetgarh Road carrying a cloth bag in their hand when police team suspecting a foul smell started search and found opium in the bag. Information revealed that Amlesh was originally hailing from village Mohari in Bihar and Ashok was a resident of village Hari Nagar in Bihar and used to bring opium for Bihar.
