Two arrested with 3.5 kg of opium at Ambala

The CIA Staff of Ambala police arrested two persons hailing from Bihar and recovered 3.5 kg opium from them. Arrested persons were identified   Sahni and his accomplish  Randhir  both residents of Harsher village  of Muzaffarpur in Bihar. Jashandeep Singh Randhawa  SP Ambala said that both Nandan and Randhir were nabbed by a police team at a special check post that had been set up on a flyover in Ambala Cantonment. The price of the opium seized by police is estimated over Rs 5 lakh.

Randhawa said that the police had received a tip-off that some peddlers from Bihar would be delivering opium to a smuggler in Ambala. Accordingly, a checkpoint was set up on a flyover in the cantonment area and the both drug supplkiers were arrested. Police said that a case under NDPS Act has been registered against the duo at Parao police station of Ambala Cantonment and both will be produced in the court on Saturday.
