Two arrested with Grenade in Amritsar

Amritsar, November 17 – Punjab Police have seized one hand grenade with the arrest of  two alleged accused here today.

Confirming the arrest of two alleged accused Parkash Singh and Angrej Singh, Police said besides one hand grenade, Rupees One lakh cash of Indian currency and One Breeeza car was seized.

Police said those alleged accused were arrested during the routine checking at Amritsar/Jallandhar bypass road, the outskirt area of the city when intercepted by the police.

Police said that during preliminary investigation of the accused, it appeared that one of accused Parkash Singh was already undergoing imprisonment in the recovery of 30 kilogram heroin and presently out of jail on parole and didn’t turn up after the expiry of the parole period which was up to  March 2022. Another accused Angrej Singh who was already facing various criminal cases and was coming absconding for a long time. Further investigation is underway.
