Former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana, Dushyant Chautala, commented that Haryana was completely overlooked in this budget. Vij responded, “This is a national budget and Haryana is given full attention in it. When necessary, demands are also met and we should be proud that when the Finance Minister was presenting the budget, former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal was sitting right behind her, meaning we have reached that level and can bring back anything needed.”

Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda mocked the BJP’s slogan “Non-Stop Haryana” and said that instead of “Non-Stop Haryana,” the BJP should say “Full Stop Haryana.” Former Home Minister Anil Vij retorted, “This is the height of negative thinking. How can any person from Haryana even think that a full stop will be put to Haryana?”
