Ambala :  Haryana Home, Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij took a jibe at Congress MP and leader Rahul Gandhi and said that Veer Savarkar stayed in Andaman-Nicobar’s Cellular Jail for ten years, while Rahul Gandhi cannot live for ten days in it, then how he has made comments on Veer Savarkar..Vij said this in response to a question asked by media persons regarding the statement made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi regarding Veer Savarkar.

Vij said, a patriot like Veer Savarkar is born in ages and In that cellular prison a man could not see the face of another man for the rest of his life. Raising a question Vij said that the British government gave him 50 years of imprisonment, if Veer Savarkar had met the British government, would the British government have given him imprisonment..

Vij said that It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Maharashtra had said that Savarkar had helped the Britishers and had betrayed Mahatma Gandhi and Indian leaders by signing an apology while in jail. The Congress MP had said that Savarkar was jailed for two-three years in Andaman and started writing mercy petitions and Savarkar had helped the Britishers in every way.

While talking to media persons Vij said, the proposal for a domestic airport terminal at Ambala in 11 acre area adjoining Indian Air Force Station has been approved and defence administration has already given clearance to set up the same. Vij told media persons that financial budget for amount worth Rs 40 crore has already been approved and work will start soon by Civil Aviation Department.

Talking to media persons Vij said that in view of expansion of Civil Hospital at Ambala Cantt also having Atal Cancer Hospital wing in it the only government cancer hospital in the area there is immediate requirement of place adjoining existence hospital which belongs to defence organization. Vij said that this civil hospital has daily OPD for about 2500 patients and a request has been made to senior army officers in a meeting at PWD Rest House Ambala Cantt to provide some place adjacent to the hospital in order to expand hospital.and defence officers have shown positive response. Needless to say Ambala Cantt civil hospital a dream project of Anil Vij  is generally known as a mini PGI in the state in which daily OPD has increased from 250 a day to 2500 within years.
