Actually, the high command had appointed observers to select the leader of the Congress Legislature Party which included former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, senior certral party leaders Ajay Maken, TS Singhdev and Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa.

The four leaders also consulted all the MLAs at the state Congress headquarters in Chandigarh. The in-charge said that the central observers should give their report and the feedback of the MLAs in this regard to the leadership so that a decision can be taken on it. On Wednesday, first the in-charge of Haryana affairs held a joint meeting in which there was a discussion on running the party’s national campaign ‘Jai Bapu-Jai Bhim-Jai Samvidhaan’ campaign in Haryana state. Party state president Chaudhary Udaybhan also mentioned the results of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections during the meeting.
