Karnal : Team of  Ram Nagar police station Karnal arrested three members of a racket, including a married woman allegedly involved in a honey trap case. The prime accuse woman and her husband were blackmailing a man from Rajound in the Kaithal district. They were caught red-handed while accepting Rs 50,000 from the complainant identified as Rajinder. The suspects arrested during police raid were identified as Vikas, Monu, and prime accuse woman Simran all residents of Karnal, whereas paramour of the woman managed to flee, Jagbir Singh, SHO, Ram Nagar police station said.

The police had received complaint from Rajinder a resident of Rajound in Kaithal district stating that he was introduced to Simran  a resident of Shiv Colony Karnal through Face Book seeking friendship when both started chatting on mobile phone frequently when he was invited by his Face Book friend to meet her personally and invited him to her residence in Karnal where three youths including Simran’s husband were already present. According to complainant they thrashed him started beating him when he objected to remove his cloth and make him made nude and started making his objectionable video viral. They also took money he was carrying at the time of incident. SHO told that in his statement the complainant accused Simran started blackmailing him and demanded Rs 5 lakh threatening to release nude video unless ransom amount was not paid. According to complainant the suspects had already taken Rs 1.03 lakh cash. On his complaint, the police laid a trap and arrested the trio red-handed while accepting money near a railway over bridge and also prepared a video of incident, whereas husband of prine accuse managed to abscond.
