World’s first ‘Geeta’ museum inaugurates at Kurukshetra

KURUKSHETRA (SATISH HANDA): First ‘Geeta’ museum in the world ‘Geeta Gyan Sansthan’ is being set up at historic town Kurukshetra in Haryana state famous for ‘Mahabharta’ war between ‘Pandsav’ and ‘Kaurav’ where Lord Krishna had delivered preaches to Arjun during war. Amount worth Rs 10 crore is being spent over this project where work has already started on war footing basis to attract religious tourists from all over the world.

This historic project being constructed on the bank of holy ‘ Brahm Sarovar’ spread across 9.5 acres area provided by Kurukshetra Development Board will have a mini museum, a auditorium, a library having wide collection of religious and historic books, virtual world with holographic image, lighting system, projection lights and mapping to provide historic ‘Mahabharat’ events, a shopping complex and Food Court being constructed under the guidance of  Geeta Manishi Swami Gyananand in which several religious organizations are likely to extend financial assistance

Earlier Mohan Bhagwat of RSS had laid foundation stone for this project when Khatter government in Haryana state was ruling during its first tenure but the project failed to take final shape. According to Madan Mohan Chhabra of Kuruksehtra Development Board, there is proposal to complete mini museum in the first phase and work will continue to complete this project by December 31, 2021
